![]() The library at Motueka High School, played host to this session with a number of colleagues from our Kāhui Ako. After sharing our reasons and motivations for joining the group, it was clear that the afternoon was going to be collaborative and beneficial for all. We were privileged to have a wealth of knowledge and experience within the room, and a desire to share openly around these questions: What’s working well for your school? – programmes, approaches, interventions, What questions, challenges, issue are we facing and how we can support each other? James Monaghan presented data and information coming through from contributing school around achievement and Maths capabilities. This evoked a range of conversation about the Math's entry assessment, as well as the importance of transition information about the Year 8 students. The afternoon finished with discussions around interventions already being used within Motueka Kāhui Ako schools, to develop mathematical learning relationships. The next wānanga has been planned for 12th March Week 6, Term 1 2019, at Lower Moutere School.
